The new router has 18 wired ports, including 16x Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10G SFP+ cages. It also has a RJ-45 console port on the front panel. Like all CCR devices, it comes in a classic white 1U rackmount case. Built-in dual redundant power supplies are included, so you have one less thing to worry about. And, of course, there is active cooling to keep things nice and cool. Each group of 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports is connected to a separate Marvell Amethyst family switch-chip. Each switch chip has a 10 Gbps full-duplex line connected to the CPU. The same goes for each SFP+ cage – a separate 10 Gbps full-duplex line. Boards come with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 128MB of NAND storage.

Obviously, you need the right connectivity to harness this power. There are four 10G SFP+ ports. They have a separate, full-duplex line connected to the Marvell Aldrin family switch chip. Then we have Gigabit Ethernet ports. 12 of them are running through the Marvel chip. And there is another Gigabit port connected directly to the CPU. For management purposes.
Each group of 4 ports has a separate full-duplex connection to the switch chip. No bottlenecks here. You can expect switch-like throughput in most setups. The new generation of processors offers mind-blowing performance. If we look at the CCR1036 – the powerhouse with a 36 core CPU, the new CCR2116 can easily double the performance. 16 cores vs 36 cores. Double the performance. Or even more.

CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PCThe new updated revision of CCR1009 is here. We attempted to combine all the customer feedback and best practice in CCR device manufacturing that we learned over the last three years, since the first CCR1009 devices were launched.
Important changes
No switch-chip – the device now features only fully independent Ethernet ports each with a direct connection to the CPU, allowing to overcome previous shared 1Gbit limitation from switch-chip ports and utilize full potential of CPU processing power on those ports.
Combo-port – a single 1Gbit software interface that has two hardware interfaces – an SFP cage and a Gigabit Ethernet port, allowing you to use any type of connection available to you. It is also possible to switch between both physical interfaces in RouterOS. In an event of disconnect the combo-port provides hardware fail-over feature.
100Mbps SFP support – this is our first device that supports 100BASE-LX/100BASE-SX/100BASE-BX fiber modules, as well as standard 1.25G SFP modules.
More throughput – because the ports are now directly connected to the CPU, the new CCR1009 can achieve even higher throughput.
This unit is equipped with passive cooling enclosure, two heat-pipes and a specially designed heat-sink, so its completely silent. It’s powered by an external 24V 2.5A AC/DC adapter and supports power redundancy if you also power it from the PoE input port.
Unit also includes a LCD touchscreen, smart card slot, microSD and a SFP+ port for 10G connections.

CCR1036-8G-2S+Our fastest router has now become even better – the new CCR1036-8G-2S+ now has two SFP+ ports for 10G interface support (SFP+ module available separately). It uses the same 36 core Tilera CPU as our other CCR1036 model, and delivers the same performance, but now, ten gigabit links are possible.
